The Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE) is dedicated
to improving the quality of corporate governance, compliance and ethics.
SCCE’s roles include:
- Facilitating the development and maintenance of compliance
programs;
- Providing a forum for understanding the complicated compliance
environment; and
- Offering tools, resources and educational opportunities for those
involved with compliance.
SCCE's Mission:
SCCE exists to champion ethical practice and compliance standards in
all organizations and to provide the necessary resources for compliance
professionals and others who share these principles.

Compliance:
The process of meeting the expectations of others. More
specifically, it is the process of helping professionals understand and
meet the expectations of those who grant us money, pay for our services,
regulate our industry, etc.
Major Functions:
- To promote quality compliance programs — their introduction,
development, and maintenance.
- To provide a forum for interaction and information exchange, to
enable our members to provide high quality compliance programs.
- To create high quality educational opportunities for those involved
with compliance.
SCCE is not meant to:
Focus on or duplicate the current efforts of general and
specialty-specific national associations that lobby for regulatory
changes.
