Frequently Asked Questions1) What is the CCEP-F? The CCEP-F (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional-Fellow) is an advanced certification for Compliance & Ethics Professionals 2) Do I qualify for the CCEP-F designation? There are many eligibility requirements for obtaining the CCEP-F designation. They include: • Must have the CCEP credential for a minimum of 3 years (can be non-consecutive) • Must be a current SCCE member, and have maintained membership for at least 3 years preceding application (can be non-consecutive) • Minimum of a bachelors degree, verified by a certified transcript • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Compliance & Ethics Professional For a complete list of eligibility requirements, see page 2-3 of the CCEP-F Candidate Handbook 3) When can I apply for CCEP-F certification? SCCE will begin accepting applications in September 2009. 4) What are the costs associated with the fellowship certification program? There are three basic costs:
5) What are the benefits of obtaining the CCEP-F designation?
6) What do I need to complete in order to obtain the CCEP-F certification? Step 1) Complete and submit the CCEP-F application with all supporting documentation Step 2) Receive approval from the Compliance Certification Board to go forward with the application process Step 3) Complete the simulation exam Step 4) After passing the simulation exam, submit a copy of fellowship project Step 5) Present fellowship project to the Compliance Certification Board 7) Who will answer questions I have as I work through the fellowship application process? Once your CCEP-F application has been approved by the Compliance Certification Board, you will be notified of your mentor. The mentor you receive is deemed an expert in the field of compliance and ethics, and will be available to help you through any difficulties in the process of obtaining the CCEP-F certification 8) What is the timeline for the application process: CCEP-F candidates have 3 years from the time their application is approved by the Compliance Certification Board to finish all necessary steps 9) What is an acceptable fellowship project: The fellowship project will cover a topic(s) that was approved in the application process. This should be in the format of a thesis or case study. You may provide either a 30-50 page thesis on a compliance topic, or 4 case studies. Both options require original work, and the candidate must allow the CCB (Compliance Certification Board) to make the work available to benefit other compliance professionals. 10) Once I obtain the CCEP-F advanced certification, how do I maintain it?
