CCEP status?
- If you have attended any programs given by SCCE,

Continuing Education Application in your binder.
- If you attend any programs not accredited by us,
you can apply for independent credits using the Individual Accreditation
Application.
- If you have been a speaker at a compliance event,
you can apply for independent credits using the Individual Accreditation
Application.
Do you send reminders when
certification is close to expiration?
Yes. We send reminders, but it is ultimately your responsibility to
remember to renew your certification.
Is there a grace period if my
certification expires?
Yes, If a candidate intends to maintain credentials, but will not meet
the expiration deadline, we will allow a 10-day grace period. If a
candidate anticipates not meeting the 10-day deadline, we will extend
the grace period if requested in writing before original expiration
date. The candidate will be required to pay a $50 late fee for every 30
days after expiration up to 60 days. Beyond 60 days after expiration the
candidate will be required to make application and pass the current
version of the examination.
Do you keep track of how many CEUs I
currently have?
We do not keep track of your CEUs. That is the responsibility of each
individual.
How do I document compliance magazines
or journals?
You will simply write in the name of the journal and the date on the
form. If it is not HCCB or CCEP approved, you will need to fill out the
CCEP Individual Accreditation Application.
I did not receive or did not apply for
CEUs for a conference I attended. How do I document that
conference?
If the conference was with SCCE your certificate is usually put
in your binder at the conference. If it is a larger conference, you may
call us to receive your certificate or to be directed to an application.
If the conference was with another sponsor, you may want to call
them to find out how to obtain your certificate.
Is there a sample test I can take to
see what type of questions will be on the Examination?
Within the Candidate Handbook there are sample questions.
There is also a Practice Test on our website
for candidates who will take the computer based test at an AMP testing
site, to become familiar with the software. You will simply enter your
name and start answering the questions. You may check to see if your
answers are correct by clicking “Grade” at the bottom of the
page.
How do I take the examination again if
I do not renew my certification in time?

years is no longer considered certified and may not use the credential
awarded for certification in professional communications, such as on
letterhead, stationery and business cards, in directory listings and in
signature.

make application and pass the current version of the examination at
least 60 days before the expiration of their current certification.
