Web/Audio Conferences
Frequently Asked
Questions:
Question: How long is the
web conference?
Answer: SCCE Web
conferences are scheduled for 90 minutes per session. Typically,
60 minutes are dedicated to the presentation and 30 minutes are allotted
for questions and answers.
Questions: How can I test
to ensure my computer is enabled to join a web conference?
Answer: Four days
before the conference, SCCE will send the test link along with your
conference materials.
Question: Can more
than the registrant sit in on the web conference?
Answer: Yes, but
you must use only one phone line and only one computer log-in. If you
would like to have additional staff attend, you may want to use a
speaker phone for the audio portion and an LCD projector with a screen
so all can view the web portion.
Why not try this--organize the event so that
as many people as you want are able to attend. Work with your
education departments and provide the SCCE web conference as a quality
alternative to in-house training on matters of compliance and current
regulatory affairs.
Question: What if we want
more than one phone line/computer logged-in?
Answer: If an
individual needs to dial from a separate phone and/or log in to a
separate computer, they need to register and pay another web conference
registration fee.
Question: What is the
cancellation and refund policy?
Answer: There are
no refunds once the web conference registration fee has been paid.
The only exception to this policy is if an attendee experiences a
medical emergency that keeps him/her from the call. If you cancel, you
have the following three options: (Please note: All
requests--including the refund for a medical emergency--must be
submitted to SCCE in writing via LETTER, EMAIL OR FAX –and not
taken over the phone).
-
You may have the CDs and written materials sent
to you.
-
You may request a conference credit for the same
amount as the paid registration fee. If you choose this option,
you will receive a conference credit on your SCCE account. You, or
anyone within your organization, will have one year to use the
conference credit amount toward future SCCE conferences. If you do
not use the credit within one year, it will expire.
-
You may request a substitution. If you are
unable to participate in the call and do not want a CD or a credit, you
have the option of transferring your registration to someone else within
your organization. If you opt for a substitution, a registration
form for the substitute must accompany your written request.
Question: If I can't
attend the web conference? Are CDs available? If so, when can I get them
and at what cost?
Answer: CDs are
available for purchase. They are typically available 7-10 business
days after the web conference. Please allow two weeks for shipping
and handling. The cost is the same as for live web conferences.
Written materials are included in the cost of the CD
packages.
Question: When do we get
the log-in information and written materials for the web conference?
Answer: SCCE will
e-mail out log-in information approximately four days prior to the web
conference. Written materials will be transferred to attendees during
the web conference via the web conference interface.
Question: May I ask
questions anonymously?
Answer: Of
course. We are happy to forward blinded email questions to the
faculty. Please send questions to melanie.gross@corporatecompliance.org.
They will do their best to answer the questions on the call.
Keep in mind that during the conference, the web conference facilitator
identifies callers with questions by giving their names to all attendees
before their questions are asked.
Question: I want to
register for the web conference but I won’t be able to get the
payment in on time. Can I still register?
Answer: Yes, fax in
the registration form with either the Purchase Order Number or a copy of
the check request.
Question: Are CEU credits
available for web conferences or the resulting CDs?
Answer: Yes. 1.2 CCEP CEUs are
available for a 90 minute web conference.
