2020 European Compliance and Ethics Institute Cancellation FAQs

Why did you cancel the conference?
The COVID-19 situation has been dynamic. SCCE wanted to ensure it was exploring every option before disrupting the work and travel plans of our speakers, sponsors, attendees and staff. SCCE decided to cancel the event considering the growing concerns over the spread of COVID-19 in Europe and the increasing numbers of speakers, sponsors and attendees unable to attend due to corporate travel restrictions.

Will I receive a refund?
All registered attendees, who have paid the conference registration fee, may choose to request a conference credit that may be applied to a future SCCE event or product, to be used within the next 12 months. Or, due to the unique circumstance, you may alternatively choose to request a refund for registration fees paid, less any wire transfer fees.

How do I cancel my room reservation with Hotel Okura and what is the fee?
Please contact Hotel Okura soon to cancel your room reservation. The hotel has indicated that you may cancel online with a cancelation fee of 15%, reduced from the agreed upon 100% cancelation fee.

Will SCCE cover additional costs incurred from travel cancellations?
SCCE is not able to accommodate any financial loss assessed by third parties due to travel cancellations.  We encourage you to contact your travel providers.

Will the ECEI be rescheduled?
No. However, we are working with several speakers from this year’s program to deliver session topics as webinars.  More details will follow as dates and times are finalized. Alternatively, the 9th Annual ECEE will be held 15-17 March 2020 in Amsterdam.
